#5691 – Trust a Truly Tried Shaliach Tzibur?
Question
Rabbenu Shlit’a. As we are about to begin saying Veten Tal Umatar on the amida tomorrow night (Thursday Dec 4, 2025) and if someone forgot to say it he has to repeat the Amida. Can one comply by just listening to the repetition said by the Shaliach Tzibur?
Does one have to ask him to have him in mind, or do we assume that he as is, has to have in mind all the ones that need the Amida?
Answer
It may depend on the Sheliach Tzibur involved and also on the different quality of Minyanim. A reliable Rov familiar with the case should br consulted.
Rabbi A. Bartfeld as revised by, Horav Yaakov Hirschman, Horav Dovid Pam, Horav Aharon Miller, Horav Chanoch Ehrentreu and Horav Kalman Ochs Shlit’a.
